Holiday for two in a 9 m² house, having a baby or completing the Ötztal cycling marathon. Our employees reported on some first few times.

Following the motto “I AM NEW”, our annual corporate event, CONNECT, took place in its sixth edition. As always out of a mixture of key notes, workshops, party and pitches.

Cracking the main problem

In our private and professional lives, we are constantly confronted with new situations. But how do you approach the new and unknown? We looked a little closer: What unknown challenges have we faced in recent months, how did they feel and what have they done to us? What if we could benefit from our experience with new situations in the future? – was thus the guiding principle for the group work of the next two days. In ten teams we identified the pain and love points to change the approach to new situations.

From a problem to the solution

No problem without a solution: With a detailed assignment of tasks, ten teams worked out a solution pitch for new, uncertain situations.
New on the job? – What elements must effective, targeted onboarding include? Lost sight of your personal professional goal in the short term? – Your personal “feedbook” helps you to sharpen your profile and thus promote your development. New office? – With simple hacks and tips, you immediately feel at home.

Party before pitch!

Also for the first time: The House of Weekend with its Roof Garden on the 17th floor and a unique view over Berlin welcomed us as this year’s party location with an unforgettable sunset. Not quite so new: We rocked the dancefloor to the beats of our time-tested NOLTE&LAUTH-DJ Eric Know until the early morning hours.

But then the morning after arrived. With slightly sleepy eyes all employees found themselves in the office again and it was called: Pitchtime! In 10-minute slots, all groups presented their solutions: from analog photo galleries of all employees to lists with the secrets of each location and simultaneous translations of calls with foreign customers.

“I AM NEW” inspired us to come up with unusual ideas – the best three “babies” are now being planned in our offices, which fortunately are over 9 m² in size.
